I hit a few yard sales last week end and was finding the same old baby toys, clothes and glass nick-nacks but very few car parts or anything else that caught my eye. I was about to give up and go find a cold one when I drove by and older house that the sign said "Moving Sale Everything must Go" I stopped to check it out and found a few 50's wheel covers and a box of little car magazines. Paid the lady $10, she said if I like car stuff to check out the free pile. In the pile of boxes I found these old model boxes, most of them never built or messed with. Needless to say they came home with me!
I know how you feel @rumblegutz , the stock 5 window was a little out of proportion & the grill was terrible. Although I did love the kit.
A bump to see some more models, boxes, or both. Here's one from my photo gallery. I need to take time, and take some more. Thanks Ron.......
Yup this 1/35 Gaz AA came in the giant box behind it. It cost a buck ninety nine on the consignment shelf in a hobby shop and was unfinished and complete. That shelf is my first stop in the store. I think I bought it for the art. Nicely detailed while plowing thru water with a grinning driver and a passenger smoking a cig.
The box art of those 60's era Revell, AMT and Monogram kits is way better than a lot of what you see today.
if the box is factory sealed, i'll give you $3.00 for the 1961 3-in-1 kit on the middle shelf. that's 100% more than retail. at that price, shipping is on you, of course. thanks in advance!
