Hey There, I am new to the HAMB. Real long story short, I am restoring a 1957 chevy 2 door 150 into a period correct car. I have a 1957 283 that I am rebuilding and would like to put a 3 deuce intake and carbs on it not really concerned with the horsepower just the nostalgia. With that being said, I have seen the ones on speedway motors, but have heard questionable things about those carbs. Does anyone have a lead on a complete set up or any idea what someone would expect to pay for one? Thanks, Chip
I ran this setup back in 63 to about 65 on my 57, 210 HT. Carbs were Rochester 2Gc's as I recall and were trouble free.
If I didn't have the 700R4 trans in my '39 I'd have bought the Holley tripower setup for my car! All brand new, and comes with linkage, fuel lines, air cleaners, but not linkage for automatic tranny TV cables. Back when I was ready to but it they were on sale for $1700 and free shipping. I was ready to buy until Holley techs told me it wont work with my trans.
I bought mine from Vintage Speed. The set up went smooth and the carbs run great, going on 8 years now with no issues. https://www.vintagespeed.com
I can help you Chip. I have a 3x2 for your 283 complete and fuel ready to ship immediately. Give me a holler, Dick [email protected]
