Kudos to the Prophets CC of Norwalk, Ohio! This was my first interaction with these folks & I had a great time being in their show. They had to deal with some weather issues, (just as I pulled into the show it rained for about 10 minutes) cold & windy, but they kept their cool, the skies cleared & the folks did a great job. The club seems to be a tight knit group that includes family as well. there were many wives & children doing their best to enjoy the day, I felt bad because the weather kept the number of participants down to less than half of normal & of course being a charity show that means less money for them. However there were silent & normal auctions to raise money & those were very successful! My old girl received one of the 6 "club choice awards" & it was really cool because all the awards were hand made/painted by club members which made them so much better than a generic trophy or plaque. Ironically being a painter, mine was the hand painted thinner car with Rat Fink pictured below! This show was 64 & older only...Here are a few pics, the one of my Nash is me in line waiting to receive my award. The picture was taken by my Girlfriend. Kudos to her for coming out on a cold windy day. God bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
I would be remiss if I didn't post the most important picture! While I was at the show I had our names painted above the doors by one of the pinstripe guys as a surprise to my Girlfriend. Kind of like an engagement ring only 10 Grand less! She loved it! God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Bill, congrats on your award , thanks for the pictures, what is that green coupe in the next to last picture ? Thanks
Thank You Dennis, I believe that is a 36 Ford & it had a really nicely detailed & chromed flathead. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
