I know I haven't posted . I'm a pdr tech and work long hours with the drought if a little extra time no hail .You guys might enjoy this storie in 62 a gentleman named Jim G bought a new fairlane 500 hundred drove it two years then started to turn it into a race car. Put a econoline axel up front radius the rear wells and installed a 9 inch rear. Bought a race prepped 390 from the south east US .Put a 61 tripower on top. Raced it at hustlers in Glendive Mt throughout the 60's then parked it. Enter my big bro he went to Jim's to look at a 55 crown 2 four car and saw the 62 borrowed 4 grand from grandma and brought it home this was the fall of 77 he was a Jr in high-school. Then sold it in August of 81 to Jim's cousin Mark. He drove a few years even chased cattle with it. He than parked it in a grainbin until 4 years ago a adjuster I know came into the shop to Wright a claim an told me he bought my brother's car. This may he was ready to sell and we srock a deal almost ten years to the day of my big brothers death. The car has not changed since the last time I saw it. And it will stay that way. 20210904_140100.jpg 20210904_131609.jpg 20210904_131551.jpg 20210904_131411.jpg 20210904_131343.jpg 20210904_131326.jpg 20210904_131302.jpg 20210814_170716.jpg 20210904_131609.jpg 20210904_131551.jpg 20210904_131411.jpg 20210904_131343.jpg 20210904_131326.jpg 20210904_131302.jpg 20210814_170716.jpg 20210904_140100.jpg 20210904_131551.jpg

Sometimes it's a very small world...Congratulations on the twists and turns that lead to this reuniting of something that brings you closer to your Bro in Spirit...sorry for your losing him so early...yeah every ride in that will be moving in more ways than one can imagine...

The fact it was caretaken rather than changed is a major bonus too...

Welcome to the Hamb...I hope you were at least lurking a little...there's been a lot going on since 2011...

Damn cool story glad for you and your family to have a little piece of your brother back in the fold. Friend in High School had a 63 Fairlane 260 three on the tree. We spent a weekend moving it from the knee knocker position to the floor. Enjoy your brothers ride, doesn't look like the time in the grain bin did it any harm! Joe

Dude, that Fairlane is Bad & Nationwide!!! Lighter than a '64 with just about as much power as a T-Bolt. Your brother knew how to do it to it. Looks like he saw you could have fun with it, so enjoy! ;)
