@Moriarity, mark when my son was younger we build a scooter with a 2stroke motor (2 to 3 horse) off a toro snow pup snowblower. It would go about 35 mph, what fun for a 12 year old.
Mines gotta be just shy of 50, and at 30 if you gun it, the front wheel comes right up. It's terrifying to ride, lol... It looks innocent enough and kids always ask if they can take it for a spin. I always feel like a jerk saying no, but they'd kill themselves on it.
Just found this thread. That's SOO COOL. I built a mini bike as a kid. It had the motor behind the seat, and the spark plug would really lite me up sometimes! lol I wish had a picture of it. My junk was only for FUN in the backyard. I never took pictures of most of them. Or took them to the next level. Just never GROW UP!

Actually, he has a great idea. When the trike is done he can hook up his custom lawnmower like a trailer and make a fortune servicing his neighborhood.
Was riding on top of the back seat on a go kart in the 60's, and my word of caution is don't let your butt hit the spark plug. Then again, it will only happen once.
