Has anyone rebuilt a 1959-1960 GM tailgate window hand crank? The one on my 60 Olds Fiesta slips and will not raise or lower the tailgate glass.
I find replacement clutches online for 1963 and up Chevies, but nothing for 59/60.
    Is there an easy fix?

Weld the teeth back into the regulator.

The way I would fix it is to find a window regulator with the same arc diameter where the teeth is, cut out a repair section as needed and weld it to your regulator. Best of luck with your project.

The regulator is fine . The crank handle has some type of clutch in it that I think wears out so the crank handle just freewheels.

I don't see anything on Fusick's web page. Doesn't hurt to call them about possible leads. (860) 623-1589 [email protected]
