Huge inventory sale here for those that might be interested...32's and 34's etc. North Dakota farmer is bringing a bumper crop of classics to market | Hagerty Media
I know the area well. I hope the auction plays out well. Lately it seems the Vanderbrink auctions are a crap shoot
That is a long ways from the end of the road to No Where. Me thinks online bidding will be strong, in person might be a bit rough. Hopefully the auction goes well for the family and all bidders.
It is only a couple hours from Bismarck and 3 hours from Rapid City. It will pull a ton of folk from Minnesota as well.
I know, I have driven through the area many times. Granted it was pulling a big goose neck enclosed with an older DirtyMax Chebbie, so fuel stops had to be planned accordingly. Of course the oil boom has had it's effects on the landscape as well. Dickinson isn't the one-horse town it used to be.
Just talked to a couple of my drivers that live a few miles from the auction. Aparently the locals had no idea he had so much stuff.
Is it the bare 1933 three window coupe and frame only - already at $15,000 ? She has stressed many many times to be on-site because of cell or computer reception in those hills......good luck to all !
1932 Ford Sedan Body and frame - project sold for $9,500 (with commission that would be over $10K) The 1933 Ford 3 Window sold for $48,100
It takes some mighty deep pockets to play in that rarefied arena of vintage rust ! But the cool thing is, all of that metal will be back on the road in the future ! Thanks for posting.
That is just sick! Deep pockets is an understatement for sure considering what it will cost to see these to the end and on the road.
10 K when all is said and done for the 32 doesn't sound crazy but 48,100 For the three window body with a damaged frame? I'd say a few guys with a bad want and deep pockets got in a real bidding war there.
