I need a HAMB relay from Tonica Il to Warner Robins Ga.
    I am right off I 75 South exit 134. Vehicle is about 2 miles off I 39.
This is for a model T special. Rolling with a box to go with it. Help is available at both ends. I have a trailer and could meet as far North as Chatt Tn.

    Thanks,

    jim

You are right ,I do. Stranger things happen when you ask. My daughter is bringing a piece of furniture from Alaska to Kansas.

We used to do that crap all the time back in the early hamb.

FarmerJohn rolled up to my place with a 22 Dodge roadster strapped on top of his Subaru wagon.

It lived here for 3 months until the other party was passing through and picked it up.

  7. Back in the old days - HAMBers used to help each
    other out …..

A HAMB relay group was created in 2008.
I joined and occasionally would bump it.

If you guys support it by posting your hauling
needs and availability to transport - everyone
    would benefit.

Here is a link to the group:

Yes, I haven’t seen one of these for a while. It’s a great way to get to know and help the members. I’m not going that way, but you all may be surprised how well this can work out. With the price of gas up nowadays, I say let’s consider this a common thing.

For someone going to Moultrie ,or Daytona for the week before and Thanksgiving w/e this could cover gas and maybe a motel. I'm not asking for free. Just lower rates than 1buck a mile.

BTW, I live right smack dab in the middle of the country if anyone needs to drop parts off for a bit. I'm just about 6 miles off I-40.

Most all of the road trips I have made to pick something up. Some time have been a great adventure.

Nice car. A dollar a mile is pretty cheap around here these days. Best of luck.

    Thanks.
I guess that's true for someone in the business. If I were going where the op that wants something picked up and it didn't involve too much time ,I would do it for Thanks, but that's me.
It's a similar car, not this one.

Sure, me,too, if I could. But if I was the Receiver, I'd damn well insist on paying the hauler something, or donating money for them or buying them an Alliance membership. Something.
