Such a backhanded way to tell someone you think they fucked up a car. Totally unnecessary. And if that's not what you meant, I would find it difficult to interpret any other way. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, but I think you've already expressed that in a previous post.
The Buehrig revised hardtop design was introduced in 1951. This build is the earlier design 1950 Victoria.
Even though I like the wrap around rear window I do like the way it looks.to me it has the convertible top look.

@eaglebeak is correct. I assume it's called 50FRAUD because it's a '51 Victoria with (much more attractive) '50 front sheetmetal
I'm glad the owner and builder have more imagination than some of the posters who can't see/understand their vision.
The dash was going to be changed but as far as I know, he didn't do it. Are the holes for the side trim filled in? I wonder what it would look like with one piece door windows. Eliminate the no draft windows.
Well, kinda. I actually used a '49 dash, but I removed the trim on each side of the speedo and added the '50 arrowheads to each end of the dash. There may be some '49 details in the instrument cluster that I'm unaware of, but it's pretty much '50. I did use '49 dash knobs because they're great looking. Color like it was before: Polo Green, all over. Incorrect. It's had the earlier dash for 25+ years. No, nor will they be. I really like the stock '49-50 side trim. I've considered that, but I'm currently planning to keep them.
Good choice on the dash. Also good idea keeping the vent windows. It REALLY is a 50 Fraud! Looking forward to color.
[QUOTE="pprather, post: 14176251 Looking forward to color.[/QUOTE] Me too, even though I'm not changing the color at all. I AM curious, though, how the overall car will look with the new roof in the familiar color.
Good choice, I spent a lot of effort making a build thread, with pictures and links - Only to get it deleted....
It also pays to be fully aware of the content rules of this place. Forewarned is forearmed as they say.
Looking on the web for photos happened on these in with a bunch of other cars. From back before the chop.
I've never seen those pictures before, so I'm sure I didn't take them. They are from the Muckenthaler show several years ago. Thanks for posting them!
Your car you can do what you want but don't see the appeal on chops on most any cars, just my .02 cents.
We are up to ten or twenty dollars in cents now...I think a bank account should be opened to put it in to gain some interest... We really must remember this is one of the most popular Hotrod/Custom mods to be undertaken...and this is a site dedicated to such things...it's as Traditional as apple pie too... This is again a Custom Build Thread and if Chopping, Frenching, Lowering, and substituting other parts to suit aren't your thing do as I do when I encounter Threads that don't interest me...don't bother opening it...
