Last night was the last Norwalk Connecticut Beach Cruise for the Summer. This is put on by the Coachmen. I took the hour plus drive down in my roadster with threatening weather. As it turned out I avoided any rain. I really wanted to go since I knew the 32 five window I built in the late 60's going to be there. I sold it in the mid 70's to a close friend and he made some changes and at some point the Deuce got forgotten. His Son ended up taking over and now some 50 years later it is back on the road. Here are some photos of the Coupe and My Roadster together and some alone. Plus other stuff there last night. My good old Vietnam Vet Friend with His Son and Daughter-in-law Now the rest of the show!
Another treat last night was Norwalk Home Town Hero, Race Car builder and driver Don LaJoie was present. Recent Barn Find!
Thanks for sharing the goodtimes @ct1932ford...a reunion of sorts...I'm recalling it was blue when you had it...
Looks like a good turn out, Mark did you build the coupe similar to the American Graffiti coupe. was it originally yellow? HRP
No the coupe was blue and primer when I had it. (see above pic)My friend Mike had it painted yellow. This was long before American Graffiti. I never liked it yellow. Then AG comes out. Go figure!
Thanks for posting these. Just from the photo it looks like he has mounted those headlights WAAYY up there.
I think that's where CT had them too...he didn't change much maybe pipes, fenders, engine and made it shiny...
Man I love the proportions of that yellow 5w. When I was a kid in the 80s I got my hands on boxes of 60s and early 70s hot rod magazines and ive got a real soft spot for that era. Thanks for sharing!
Man, the rodding season sure came & went fast, most of the cruise in's here have been rained out. HRP
Mark: I remember racing karts at Calf Pasture Beach every Saturday morning for many years with my sons. On Sunday's we went to Oakland Valley Raceway in Cuddebackville, New York which was over near the Pocono Mountains. Thanks for sharing the great photo's from the show. It was great to see Don LaJoie again. Jimbo
