Just seeing Dragway 42 is worth going . I have raced there over the years the gentleman that owns it now has redone the complete layout. I didn't know this was going on or I'd be there.

I used to go about 10 years ago or more when they first started doing it. I had a ball, drove my roadster over, raced, camped out, partied, looked at tons of great cars. Our family business got in the way and i haven't been there for years but i remember it as a good time. We closed our business this past year and ive considered going if things work out.

I'll be there Thursday setting up in the manufacturers area by the staging lanes. I am vending but am also a sponsor so not in the swap meet at the end of the track.
If you are NOT going you are missing some of the best nostalgia and Gasser class racing east of the Mississippi. Not to mention 10 bands, and an out of this world Drag Racing facility. Only rain forecast is Thursday and cooler into weekend so racing should be great. Stop by Moonlight Movies both and let me know if you are a HAMB member

I think you want the Tri Power National @ Norwalk. 200+ Pontiacs on the track.

I'm in WV but I will be there. Always a good show. Some off topic cars but a ton of on topic ones.

I'm a Pontiac guy but too many late 60's and later cars at Norwalk.

    Great show!!
They allow you to take anything on the track. (Almost).
Fun for a grudge match or just seeing what you can do.
I raced both of my flatheads together. the coupe kicked the pickups ass.
The weekend alway interferes with one of the biggest antique shows in my town. Having an antique shop it’s my biggest income of the year in Zoar.
Haven’t got to make 42 for many years now.

Sunday....Sunday....Sunday....last time I was at that place was in the early seventy's. Would like to see it again but left Ohio in 77 and never went back.

What store do you own? I'm that way (not actually through Zoar) but through Strasburg on occasion. I'd have to check it out sometime.

MI transplant from Geauga County here.
I'll be bringing two cars down to race - The Last Logghe altered roadster and my Frenchtown Family Truckster RPU.
I plan to get there Thursday to get a pit space as far away from the bandstand as possible. I have not raced there since the track was redone. My last visit was in the '60s.
Stop by HAMBers and say 'hi'.

The bandstand is off to the side and directed away from the pits so the sound really doesn't travel to the pits very much.

If you were a little "plump" and had thinning grey hair you'd stand out and be easier to spot in the crowd.:D:cool:

We had a fine time. My bud George drove my white roadster pick to a win in Hot Rod 1 and Nostalgia Altered, including a semi-final win over me in the orange altered.

Those six bangers were deadly consistent throughout the entire weekend. Met lots of friends, old and new. Great show Don and Ron.
