They're still out there. Found in the abandoned milking barn on closed farm. 1949 license plate. Quite solid but covered with barn swallow shit. prebsr.jpg prebsr1.jpg Ron

If it`s been sitting since 49, that would get an award for being the cleanest barn find ever. ???????

I like it. Post more please. Typically, if they spend enough time in a barn, a pack rat will make off with each and every thread of the interior. They also love cloth wiring. Not saying you are wrong on your storage estimate, but the odds are something like…. The probability of pack rat damage is proportional to the time spent in any dark area.

The Swallow shit room is much more friendly than the Chicken shit room...:D

Hard to believe such a solid find in a rust belt state...mind you it may not be in Seabees state...barns have varied states of interior/exterior effecting deterioration...

Cars sometimes don't seem to fare so well sitting for decades in a barn with a dirt or cement floor. Too much moisture. But an old car in a barn with a WOODEN floor can do amazingly well. I know there are barns... at least in the New England area... with wooden floors.
Perchance, did the barn where this car was stored have floors made of wood?

Bravo on time well spent, on the hunt for and the discovery of this great captured frozen moment of time!

You are teasing us, we need more information on how you found it and the history of the car.
