Look at the 56 in the middle picture of the page, car #805... ..it shows 210hp on fender. (solid lifter cam, one 4 bbl)
    (205 hp was hydraulic cam)
56's could also back then, run dual quads in many classes (body styles, wagons etc) at 225 hp. (56 Corvette dual quads)

Most of the 56's with single 4 bbl, were ran as 210 hp with solid lifter cams (via 56 Corvette style) . It was in the same vein as the 57's that wee running 270 hp dual quads, Fuel Injected 283's
The 180hp 55's were solid lifter cars.

I ran a 210hp, 3 speed, model 210 2dr ...Jr Stock, in 1966 and 67. Was "I" and "J" stock then because of NHRA changing the weight break brackets. (see my avatar photo) We ran about 14.90 to 15.2 at about 87 mph. We usually used 4:88 or 5:12 rear end.

Possibly someone can locate the original body and frame.

The Nekuda Bros. in the mid 60's ran a 55 utility sedan in the 'K' stock class out of Omaha, I had put a new engine in my 55 Nomad & the 265 was rebuilt for the utility sedan (40 over, 270 cam, heads & I believe 5.13 rear, the car was sold less engine after several successful seasons & as I recall the car sat for some time behind the down town Sieg auto parts store. The engine was used in the # 8 Tony Vodicka 66 service 57 dirt track car until it spun a bearing. I bought the engine, original heads/intake etc. back & pigeon holed it in the event I might be inclined to restore the Nomad some day. Such is the life of a small block engine, have no further knowledge of either race car as of this date.

I have no real time line for my info other than watching parts of both episodes but it is likely the frame is in the junk pile at the Hot Rod headquarters and the body sitting on Dullsitch's farm or perhaps Friesnburger realised their value and put them back together for resale as someone else suggested...or it will show up on a future roadkill episode with a volvo 240, model T trans, datsun axles as a 4x4...maybe they will mount it on a wooden boat hull? ....stay tuned!:(

Like I said in my earlier post the body at least is still around.

  8. Found some pics and found out the only 250 was the 65 H/S winner. Mr. Bill Eppler gave me some history. He bought the yellow four door from Dad and told me it was a 150 along with the red car.

  9. Here is an old pic I found of the car I originally believed was the car on Roadkill Garage. It was the white and blue one.

  10. Someone offered me parts He said, "I no longer have the car but I do have the short block, intake, cyl heads, other miscellaneous parts." He offered them to me if I had a project.
