Time to get rid of extra parts and would like to identify this bumper jack,30 years ago I took it out of a 53 Olds but its not for one and was told it looks like a 55 Chevy jack so can anyone identify it.
I’m not familiar with Tri5 jacks, but TF trucks used a wind up bottle Jack. It does look earlier than the 60’s bumper jacks I’m had and used. @Johnny Gee has a few tri5’s. Maybe he can shed some light.
It's been a while but I seem to recall that the area that goes under the bumper was flat and not a hook I had a lot of them when I was selling 5,6 and 7 parts but I'm not quite sure. Pat
here's a 55 - 56 for sale. they said Chevrolet used multiple manufacturers and they vary slightly depending on where the car was built
A long time since I looked at a ‘55 jack but that’s not how I remember it. Flat, like 1934 coupe said and I don’t recall a dimple on the base plate. Also 55 had a flatter base. However, no suggestions on what it might be.
