Probably a swing and miss .. but would this be an early catch of the John Athan roadster ??? Screwed together in 1937 .. to later become a more known screen star.
Me too. That looks like a front windshield from some type of truck. It could be a windshield from a sedan. It's also possible it's a back window. It reminds me a lot of a Ford F1. Of course the film pre-dates the F1 by 4 years. It's crude but executed well. I like it.
That's a possibility. You will see sedan/convertible cowls from later model grafted to A bodies in this period. It is interesting.
It’s hard to get a decent shot of the car. Very cheap movie. Bad color, very dark. The chase scene at the end goes past the same curve several times. The big crash scene was even the wrong car.
Just watched this movie a few days ago. Glad the boy was able to prove that he didn't do it. Then the car chase happens near the end... VROOM...VROOM
The windshield frame looks like a '35-'36 Ford that was painted to me. The guy probably found a hulk with no windshield and used whatever was available and cheap.
They showed Reefer Madness a couple of months ago. I really like the old time car movies. Hell, I can watch all of the 1930's movies.
...Is it Inspiration or Traditional Its travelling in Vintage Technicolor... I know of this blast from the past...watched it and yeah some real deal Hotrods...and of course the story... Credit to Photographer, Owner
