Con Richards was a customizer and rodder in Prince Albert, SK for many years. He passed away recently and his memorial was yesterday. They had lots of pics of his cars over the years. I snapped a couple pics for you guys.
Sorry for the loss. Those are some very cool rides. Looked him up and found this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.le...rad-neil-richards-con&pid=198167018&fhid=6543
I've always been told that there is the "resume you" and the "obituary you". And of those 2 dates on the headstone, all that matters is the dash in the middle. From what i read, he made the best of it and truly enjoyed the hobby. God speed buddy.
My old photo album says the pic of the “Wild Cat” was built on a “48 Merc chassis, using hoods from Nash and Austin to build the body. This was when Mr Richards was instrumental in founding the CROWN car club. Pic was taken at the 5th Annual Autorama car show in Regina , 1962 These pics were taken in 1964 @ the DRAGGINS CAR SHOW, SASKATOON. I be.ieve the engine was a Crosley, front half of an early “T”touring. I can’t recall if this car ever ran, something tells me it was strictly for show. I do however recall helping to lift it off a trailer at a show and it was incredibly light . At this time Mr. Richards was a member of the COACHMEN CAR CLUB in Prince Albert . He was very well known and respected in the Saskatchewan hot rodding community. R.I.P.
