As I said, just a working drawing for me to insure layout would work. Never intended to be published.
Stock fluted lenses, rings, conduit & housings with new integrated CW Moss/Vintique headlight/turn signal guts.
I mounted mine inside the headlight. I found some 1157 Amber bulbs on the internet that had chrome on the glass, like a state trooper's sunglasses. When they are off, you cannot see the bulb behind the headlight lens. When they flash, they are Amber.
Obviously not a Model A, but I like the simplicity of an integral light, signal combo. All the wires in a single loom.
Yes, this looks awesome. My buddy did the same setup. IMO, a lot of the solutions look "street roddy".
Using a turn signal inside the headlight is a option if you have the original style headlights, not the sealed beam type setup, that is what I have in my old beater.
Another option is to hide them in plain sight, like I did on my 1932 Ford pickup, I converted the BLC fog lights to a double filament bulbs, I was able to use them as running lights/fog lights and turn signals. HRP
I've got them in my cowl lights, only ever use them at night. I prefer my OEM signals (except for the people who think I'm waving at them and wave back)...
yes, although probably not correct having cowl lights on a traditional type car, I was given a reproduction set in a deal that I did years ago, so we used them as indicators.
Other possibles are the old-style, teardrop cab lights, clearance lights, running lights, fender lights, etc. Some are flat and some are slightly curved so be aware.......
I'm using the same lights-vintage H-D cycle lights. Lord, I cannot abide those cheap looking rectangular street rod lights.
I modified my headlamp reflectors to fit a halogen socket, and then at the same time I added an 1157 socket to the reflector also to add turn signals too. Everything but the 1157 sockets came from the junkyard, and cost me less than $20 to convert and add turn signals.
