Just a marketing tool doesn't mean a thing.

Cant say I agree. The car companies are doing what movies have done. Take something from the past that was great and remake it into something lame.

    Blazer before vs Blazer now
    Bronco before vs Bronco now
I assume the willy's will follow their footprint and just be a minivan with an SUV'ish body slapped onto it.

I would post before vs now pics but...

Sounds like a BIG marketing mistake to me. Very few people under the age of 50 are aware of John Willy, or Willys vehicles. They are more likely aware of the Urban Dictionary though...

"Willy" is a term used in polite conversation instead of "penis". It is also a term used by kids.
The word, Willy, implies the penis in a flaccid state unless it is explicitly stated otherwise.

    Urban Dictionary: willy

I search the craigslist adds for the old flat fender jeeps, and occasionally use "Willys" for the search term, and you would not believe how many people with 2010 and newer jeeps list it as a willys!

  14. Y’all could be right,,,,,,,but,,,,,,,Mopar is known to make some bad news machines.
I changed it to bad news,,,,,I didn’t want to use less than suitable language .

It might be a piece of crap,,,,,,but,,,I wouldn’t underestimate the old Dodge company .
They currently offer some of the most powerful machines ever built on an assembly line .
This new Willys might turn out to be a Mopar version of the Humvee !

I hope Jeep makes it proud .
