Hey guys I am collecting pics of traditional 1941 Buick Customs in preparation for a build of my own So lets see what you've got!
I am starting a 41 buick build myself this fall. Hope to see more ideas. Sent from my LM-X410(FG) using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This is mostly a bump, but since I'm here... Jack Walker's Buick has many novel features, not the least being the reshaped front fenders. The early portholes seem an appropriate fit. For me, nothing trumps molded rear fenders. I'd sooner see this than even a chopped top. Stance, skirts, molded fenders, bumper guard tail lights, sombreros and DONE! Did someone mention Lee Pratt?
Any discussion of '41 Buick Kustoms should make mention of George Barris' personal classic, built in the Forties. The '41 Caddy grille was later replaced with that of a '48, while repairing some accident damage. (It seems these early Kustom guys were always running into things.)
For accuracy the first grill in George Barris -41 Buick Roadmaster convertible is pieces out of a 1942 Cadillac grills , in the second version the grill is made from pieces out of a 1947 Cadillac grill , I love this kustom and hope the unfinished second version will turn up one day ! If not is there anyone else out there in kustomland dreaming of building a clone of this icon kustom ? Wolf
