Dave I've seen that type of drive and never thought of it until your post, my question is what drives the oil pump?

If you can build a car that nice , you should have a nicer hood hold. My pet peeve it these type of hood holders especially for me as I am unable to use it with only one hand.

    The setup comes
With a cable driven tach which is mounted in the original distributor hole, this allows the oul pump
    To
    Still
    Operate as normal.

This one was a re-done junkyard mess. The story is in here somewhere but I deleted the straight to it link. It was a page of a lot of sports and vintage cars way down near the end of that thread.

    Good luck searching :)

EDIT: this thread WAS a search of this site using the word scarab but now it leads to the site. So go there and search scarab
