I ran up to Moxee Wa and took a few photos at the car show that the American Reflections car club put on today. It is an open event and anyone with cash for the entry fee can enter so the background cars most likely won't be Hamb Friendly but here are some of the more interesting ones that pass muster. The little shoebox ragtop cruised over to the edge of the park for a photo op just as I was walking in that direction. No great back grounds to park in front of in that park though. I'll just flat admit that I have a thing for 49 Plymouth ribbed bumpers. Car was stone stock but nice. Uploading might take some time as I forgot to switch the camera back to a lower resolution setting.
Nice little 41. The Green roadster has been for sale in this area, seems to have a Hamb history. If you see Tim who was peeking up over the back of the car tell him I didn't have a dollar. View attachment 5065182
The wagon looks like it was pulled out of a time warp. The little green Mopar had some interesting work done on it and this was the first time I remember seeing it. Had to cut the guy who was standing beside it out, can't afford modeling Fees and I had to downsize the photo. The crown Vic with the T bird emblem was pretty nice. The white truck has a lot of potential and was the only rig in that row that I could show so he gets a moment of fame. Normally the quickest ways to convince me to not take a photo of your ride at a show are either park lawn chairs in front of it or set up camp in front of the car and be sitting there. At least this dude with the Ford truck wasn't in the chair so he gets a pass this time. The red 27 roadster just flat looks like fun. Mean stance and an engine that screams "lets go some where" rather than Hey look at me.
The 55 belongs to a friend of mine who was one of my first students I had in class for three years. Body pulled out of Tee Pee Auto Wrecking's stash yard that damned few people get access to as pretty much a shell. Big block engine and some seriously nice work and painted by another former student.
A couple of red ones that look like they could have run super stock back in the day and a batch of flames. Then some bragging by the uncle For my niece and her What I Crave food truck that she was dishing out some seriously good eats with at the show. I've taken a lot of photos of the little flathead powered A over the years and it still looks great.
Thanks for the info on the Moxee Show. Looking forward to the big one in your neighborhood, the Vintiques Show and Shine.
The red race car is said to have run at the fairgrounds in Yakima in the 30's. They had a horse track that was also used as a dirt track up through the late 50's. They get bonus points for putting the very informative show board behind the car in a spot where it doesn't obstruct taking photos from most angles. They really did a nice job on that one. They had the rat rod truck next to it that had some nice work done on it and that one could be a pretty decent hot rod if a couple of minor things were changed and it was finished out with hot rod wheels and tires on it.
