Customs I'm back...1950 Fleetline

Well guys, I'm back.. After being away from the HAMB for several years(almost 10) , I'm finally back into a HAMB friendly car! Please welcome my 50 Fleetline I just picked up from the original owner family. owner and his wife did the re-paint and interior work. OG color was beige. It's a super solid car! Currently still 6v and everything works! including the radio.
Car came with several cool little accessories. Hood ornament, steering wheel, sunvisor (never installed until i got the car), gas pedal with heal guard, bumper corner pieces(not on car), spot light, window visors, skirts, and front bumper overider.
As far as my plans, I don't have much exterior changes planned, but I do have plans for 12v conversion, drivetrain and suspension. I hope to do a altitude adjustment on all four corners, upgrade the 216 to a nicely dressed 235, Install a T-5 5speed and S-10 4x4 rear end. I'll post updates as they happen. The first car I remember my folk having was a 50 Deluxe, 4dr, fast back. The bought it new and traded for a 54 Belaire in early 55.

We’re twins! Almost. I sure would like to swap with you, that’s a nice complete car. A good candidate to keep stock. This one would be a better choice for modifying.

 

HI. On the nicely dressed 235 my avatar photo shows the 235 in my 46 Chevy Coupe.. Engine is bored 0.060 with hot cam, dual intake with 2 two bbl Weber carbs, shorty tube headers, HEI distributor, chrome rocker cover (now changed to fined Thickston cover) 12 volts and vintage air. Jimmie

 

nice ride....Woodruffs, downtown Knoxville,,been there quite a few times, while doing shows at the Theatre up the Street...

Not much new to report, but here's some current pics. I did add my old unity driving lights. I had the bumper corners re-chromed and installed. I also added red jewels to my license plate lights. I guess there use to be a company that offered them in chrome, but i couldn't find any to purchase so i just made my own. Turned out pretty good and has a neat look at night.
