Ok so I have an early 303 with stock heads and have complete rocker shaft assemblies and stands from a 324. I am planning on using the 324 pushrods. is this right? will the early 303 lifters work with the larger diameter 324 pushrods? or do i use the smaller 303 pushrods, which are shorter.....? thanks!
Thanks Paul, do you know which pushrods I need length wise? I’m thinking I need the ones from the 324. I’ve read a bunch about changing from the early 1.5 rockers to the late 1.8 rockers but haven’t found any info on the rockers and lifters. I think I might have to use the late lifters. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Hi Bob, length needs to be checked, use new or regrind cam, new lifters, clean up rockers and check length and order push rods to fit. might as well throw in a new timing set while you have it open.
Im trying to get an old motor running. It has some worn rockers, I dont have any early rockers but have a complete later set. Ive read about people doing this swap, just trying to figure out what others have done when they did this swap
