Working on swapping in a sj327 into my 53 Chevy 210. It has a scattersheild I have tried a few different headers. No luck. I was wondering what guys are using besides rams horns, cast iron manifolds and center dump shorties Thanks in advance

  2. Search same question here. Several times it’s been asked. I used chevelle toward the rear dump GM. Sanderson makes one the fits right up also.

On our 51 Chevrolet Business Coupe, we used the exhaust manifolds that came on a 96 Caprice Cop Car that had the "Baby LT1" in it (injected 265). Those manifolds also come on several different cars/trucks; they sweep up, back, and down and are like a cast iron headers (single runners that converge into a collector). Remove the tin shields, plug a couple of AIR ports, drill another hole in the mounting flange (they're designed for 7 bolt mounting). The collector is "Metric however). They look good, sound better, and make power. Only paid $35.00 for our pair. I would't use any other manifold after using those. I am Butch/56sedandelivery. I think I've answered this question 50 times or so!

  8. Thanks 56 SD. I couldn’t remember the year you had posted before. They do look nice.

I think Hooker 2458's can be used in that application.
