Any reason that I should not use a wooden battery box in the trunk of my coupe? I am using an AGM battery, but I will still have the box vented outside the car. If it matters, it will be next to a fuel tank that will also be vented outside the car. I plan to still have the battery bolted securely to the trunk floor. Thanks

If you don't tell the battery it won't know what you stuck it in.

Make it look cool and post a pic

Yeah, not racing legal, but otherwise, run it.
Attach the box, WITH a box top "securely" to the car.

Cover the battery with whatever you want just bolt the battery down solid.

You could distress the box a little and make it look like an old shipping box sitting in the trunk...maybe from Honest Charley's, or something else vintage:cool:

Make it out of Mahogony with dove tail joints, build it large enough to be able to have the battery bolted down inside it. What kind of coupe? If Ford have the Ford branded on the box. I can get carried away with some things.
