Today I drove over to Knoxville for the NSRA show. 'Spent a couple of hours and snapped a few pics. It was my first real car outing since getting over the plague a couple of months ago. It felt really good to be out and about again. While there I ran into my friend HOTRODPRIMER (Danny) who was holding court with his charming wife Brenda at the back of Brenda's most excellent '54 Ford Wagon. I was able to get a photo of Danny with the ultra rare HOT ROD PRIMER (the paint) and present it herewith for the worlds edification. Yes, Virginia there really is a HOT ROD PRIMER. Brenda's wagon was looking so good that I broke one of my photography rules about not photographing a car if the hood is up... Here are a few other HAMB friendly cars that caught my eye. I gotta confess, one of these has an IFS. See if you can quess which one. All in all a good show with a not too shabby turnout considering it was held as we are still not quite over the pandemic. Top photos! I.ve always really liked HRP's wagon, and all those cars are beautiful hot rods, but man, black 40 Ford coupes.... it's like they are from another planet!
Where was he parked, since Pro’s Pick took over their usual spot? Does NSRA not know WHO they rousted?
I was fortunate to meet Danny and Brenda on Saturday. It was a pleasure to spend a moment with them and learn the history of her beautiful Ranch Wagon that almost wasn’t. And finally got to rid myself of that darned can I’ve been holding on to for years!
Thanks for all pics - especially of the "youngster" HRP Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks for the spray can, I will have to find a place of honor in the garage, I enjoyed meeting you. HRP
I can appreciate your intestinal fortitude to track me down to rid yourself of that spray can, they don't call them rattle cans for nothing, that darn little metal ball let me know it was in the back of the wagon weaving back & forth through the mountains all the way home! HRP
