Good looking wheels if you can keep them from rusting....

I really liked the way Sparklers looked. They had a rough finish on the spokes with the chrome hoop..

Didn't we do this last month? Here are the ultra rare black primer Cragars.

    Hello,

As an alternative to the already expensive American Racing Mag Wheels that started showing up on drag racing vehicles, it was a hard road to have a similar set for the daily drivers all over So Cal and elsewhere. Many hot rod guys/girls had drag racing cars with the early Halibrand variety or American Racing 5 spokes when they came out.

For the daily street use hot rods, the wheels seemed to be a little out of reach. So, other alternatives with similar styles and a lower cost started arriving in the industry. Much to the delight of the everyday hot rod builder, driver and cruiser. The Cragar S/S wheels were accepted quite readily for all types of installations.

Not only did this 1934 Ford Coupe take the drag racing build to the next level, his use of Cragar S/S wheels made it look rather racy. The motor was not just your run of the mill, dual four barrel SBC.

It was a Hilborn Port Injected SBC motor modified for everyday street use. The Hilborn Port Injectors worked perfectly and the SBC motor sounded as if it was staging at Lion's Dragstrip, when we moved the 34 for a different photo angle. This 34 Ford Coupe had one of the only daily driven Hilborn Port Injectors adjusted for street driving.

  25. Cragars that used to be.... 20171201_121533.jpg . I have ALWAYS love Cragar SS wheels, every car I ever drew as a youngster had them. I feel they are the perfect custom wheel on the right car, just not this one! Mitch

I love some Cragar SS......didn’t they come out with a cheesy looking gold model or am I thinking of Keystone classics?
