Customs Would REALLY like to access the classifieds

Hello all. I’m a long time builder. My current project; a 1949 Ford shoebox custom coupe riding on a gen 2 Camaro subframe. Back-halved, mini-rubbed, Moser Ford 9-inch posi. Powered by a 1969
427 Chevy with too many upgrades to list here. It ain’t a trailer queen it’s a DRIVER. Chevy’s fed, educated and put a roof over my family’s head for three generations. I recently retired from Chrysler’s ad agency but held an exec creative director spot at Campbell-Ewald (Chevy’s ad agency of record for decades). I’m NOT a corporate type - graduated from a tech high school, worked at the local Chevy dealer for a couple years, answered and ad for a tech specialist at another Detroit outfit and got VERY lucky and made a great career. I’ve built at least a dozen rods but the Ford is my last.

I’ve also moderated several discussion forums and I understand there are rules. While searching for a specific part for my latest project I ran across an ad in the classified section of this forum.

As a moderator, I’d read this post and would likely reply that I need to simply read what’s posted and all will be answered. I FULLY intend to do just that but for the moment I just need SOME one to hook a brother up. Can anyone please tell me what I have to do to respond to a post in your classifieds? I’m HOPING I just need one introductory post like this. But if not, can I please get just one break because there’s something for sale here that would mean the world to me to lay my hands on for my Ford/Chevy. ANY hint is MOST appreciated - and time is a factor. I’d hate to see these parts get sold before I can make an offer.

You need to have 10 posts IIRC to reply to classifieds. You can get your post count up by replying to threads already posted by others. You should be able to find existing threads that interest you to post reply's to. That will get your count up. Should take long at all. FYI: when replying to a classified ad you have to send a PM, you just can't hit reply.
Hope this helps and welcome aboard. One more thing, sub frames are taboo here. Sure way to get your posts deleted.

First you have to have at least 10 posts to PM someone, and that is how you get on the classifieds and contact a seller, you can not post on someone else's for sale post you have to PM them and then they will contact you

 

@corncobcoupe is the guy to lead, guide, and direct you on your journey. The opening page where you introduce yourself as a new member lays out the rules. And the classifieds have their specific rules and requirements at the top of each page. Also this is a traditional site. If it wasn't available before 65, it's not talked about here. That's in those rules.
