Finally got the panel below the decklid. The triangular gussets are going to need some love to get the bottom to fit to the floor. Starting out slow...several of these captive nuts were almost gone and a couple had been removed and hex nuts welded in place. I was able to get period correct nut keepers from a Jeep parts distributor. These are also correct for the rear fender mountings. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Sometimes I also go nuts on the shape of particular hardware like that. You found a PERFECT match. Not sure I'd go so crazy on a hidden part like those plates, but I commend your efforts. Drake's and other supplier's hardware are not a good match.
Elvis100 could you provide a part number and distributor for those? I'd guess they would be useful for many people here.

I didn’t like the way the reproduction panel was sitting. It may just be the way the floor sits, but I did have the same problem with my coupe. Started making new panels, maybe I can use the reproduction ones on my next build. My press brake is working at its limit. Used an anvil and hammer to tighten up the corners.
