well since that involves pulling the engine or trans, that's a DAMN good price. too bad he's not around me...i could afford to be lazy and pay someone to swap my engines in my daily at that price
Probably about right. You don't have to completely remove the engine or transmission to replace a flexplate on a GM automatic. You can take the tranny bolts out and "cheat" the transmission back far enough to do the job.
sounds good, I got a price quote of $750 for a new HD clutch installed (same work process and time involved), half that was the parts, the other labor. Decided to do it myself for that price
Thats a great price if hes gonna get under that monster and yank the trans. That flywheel is probably pricey too.
been there done. I bought the tools with the extra money. like getting a free bike lift, impact wrench and big ass sockets.
