  5. I've wondered about that because the tread pattern is fairly aggressive, in my opinion.

  6. If they hum.......
it's because they forgot the words to the song.

All seriousness aside, I hear* that they are relatively quiet.

I've talked to the guy who runs this Bentley a couple of times since he put them on it and all he said is there is a world of difference in the way it drives. Bently gr (2).jpg
The car is a beast and his friends say he wheels it at a pretty good clip down the highway.

Ran both bias and radial Excelsiors on the Zipper and never noticed any excess noise.

My Excelciors run fine, no excessive or unusual tire noise.

There are two different things that go on with tire noise. One is the whine of the tread on the pavement, and the other is from the air hitting the tread blocks, mostly on the front. If it is an issue of the airflow over the tread it will be less noticeable on more aerodynamic or full fendered cars. I'm sure most of us can remember how highboy 4WD pickups used to have that front tire whine from running bias ply traction tires on the front, and it seemed like you never noticed it with 2WD pickups sitting lower and running highway tread tires.

This is useless information without the tire model and size specifications and also a link to the online information.
    Pictures would be good too.

Those were 195/80r 16 Bridgestone ecopia but I can't seem to find them anywhere now. Look interesting when I saw them some time back. Was for electric or hybrid cars around 2000.

I sold all 4 rims &. Tires off this one of my 32s
    Front Excelsiors
The tires on Rear are the alternate to Excelsiors ,
16 inch diameter 7 inch wide rim,
Radial tire 28 inch tall side wall to side wall was around 9 inch wide
Tire Said on side wall about inch tall
    ""FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE ONLY""
When I found this tire I was using Cooker tire catalog for tire specs , then going threw other manufactures tires
    Compurter !

Have to look and see if they do a 7.00 -16
Might try them when the Excelciors wear out.

I looked too but I do see a problem, they don’t appear to have any 5.00x16” which is what I have on the front now with my Excelciors
