Well, i have no picture, but on topic i have a fun story. On the starting line, in about 85 or so, back when us spectators could get right up into the action, me and my buddy's were drinkin beer on the starting line, and some old guy on the line was havin problems. his only pit crew was his wife, she looked bewildered at what to do, the old guy all suited up and strapped in was trying to get going, but having issues. i can't remember, but i think it was the starter pack connection, what ever, we were there, nobody else was jumping in, so us bums from Minnesota jumped in and got the thing running, and off he goes down the track. Well, it was Zeke Zakerson, famous hoarder of Wayne 12 port heads and other GMC parts. I have seen him mentioned here from...i forget, @jimmysix, or @302GMC , sorry.. I forget, but anyway, next the wife says "jump in, we'll go get him". so off we go in the tow rig down to the end of the track. once there, Zeke jumps out of his suit, and says "who's gonna drive back?" WOW ... driving a race car down the salt!!! (Well, being towed down the return lane actually, but i claim to have driven a race car on the salt! , i am a proud member of the 20 mph club) . As it turns out, Zeke was no fool, you get salt thrown in your face all the way back to the pits! Anyway, it was a great memory, and we helped them for the next couple days. Always wanted to visit in St George UT, but never did. i suspect he has passed by now, but left a mark in my life. i have to add, Zekes car was pretty well dialed in, no major surgery while we we his "crew". a 29 ford roadster with the mighty GMC 6 if i remember, perhaps some one has a photo of it?

No, Zeke is still alive and ok for 80+. He lost his wife last year and one daughter this year. He is actually selling off some of his “hoard” of 12 ports. A few years back I bought one of the new complete Arias/Howard’s he had and preped it for racing but now stopped the project. I should sell it too but have a lot into it. He sold the 29 roadster that was one Frank Oddo’s and its in a museum. He has no internet connection or computer so he handles everything word of mouth or phone. He still has a lot left an unbelievable amount..

    Lou
I have a favorite too and have been looking for it for a while with no luck, it could be from Bonneville but I'm not sure.
I know some of you remember it, it shows a gal sitting in a roadster with (IIRC) the radius cutout in the door that was fairly common "way back".
Oh, by the way, she's sporting some pretty righteous pedalpushers.
You youngsters may need to Google that!
