Thanks for reading this post. I'll be using disc brakes from SpeedWay. King/King is 50 1/2". 52"is the length. adding the disc on each side brings it to 58 1/2" face to face where wheel backs up to. I'll be using skinny's maybe 6". I'm cutting the front frame and using box steel with leaf springs. the look I want is the tires to be just inside the fenders. thank you .

should work ok, once you realize that 6" is not skinny....try 4.5 or maybe 5" at the widest

Well I had a 37 Chebbie Coupe , straight Axle front and 57 Chebbie rear , I think the front will be fine as wine . The 37 front springs probably need to be updated . They use a super strange front hanger , you could fab a needed hanger super easy .

It might need a little wider than the typical gasser front wheel of 4"-4.5" width, as the narrow skinny wheels and tires on that axle width will be set in at stock width. As the front end stance gets higher, a narrow track width looks odd. So what looks fine for stock, looks odd with skinny tires set in too far. Not sure I'd go 6" front wheels, but a 5" with a 185-75-15 tire will help make it look better, and handle the extra weight of a 3500 lb. Tri 5 Chevy too.

These are 195-75-15 on a 5" wheel on my '39 Chevy and I wish I'd gone one or two sizes smaller on the tires. Like a 175 or 185 maybe.
