Small hood scoop on my 60 Ford ragtop back ln the day, 67/68. The scoop was pop riveted on, bondo to blend, painted, I come out from bowling late, get in car and look over hood, scoop looked funny, get out and some dumb ass kid wanted the large dia. chrome cleaner, was going to rip scoop off to get it, never would have fit through hole. reglassed scoop, rebondo, repaint, good as it ever was. PIA, one of the few times somebody messed with one of my cars.

  4. Love the T Bolt scoops, almost Ford specific but they can look good on others.

My high school hot rod 57 BelAir circa 1970, bought a fiberglass "Grumpy Lump" hood scoop at the local speed shop, a friend helped me pop one off of it, returned it and nobody knew àny better.

My 66 Suburban hood with 160 louvers.
Outer sections are punched conventionally (outies), middle rows are "innies".
The louver guy built a supporting cradle to handle it, said it was the largest hood he had ever done, his louver press also had a lazer guide, they are perfect.

Hood top has louvers also but glare hinders their visibility here.

Here is mine, it is not a “Crites” reproduction. Many years ago I borrowed an original Plaza Glas hood from one of the 21 A/FX Comets, had a mold made and pulled my hood.

    You want a scoop ?
I couldn't see putting a short fat scoop on a tall skinny car, like most of the Anglias have/had. So, this is what I did.

On and off the truck, 120 louvers done in Bremerton Wa in 1981 if I have my memory right about the year.

There was some ugly left behind when I took off the hideous “snorkel” scoop that was on there when I got it. This Shelby scoop from Speedway covered it up perfectly. It was supposed to be temporary...... image0.jpeg

  19. Back in the late 60's I owned this 409 horse, 409 powered 53 Ford, sporting a Cal Custom scoop.
    Dearly loved that car.
