I am seeking recommendations for high conductivity adhesive to repair my 504 Sun Distributor Tester. Specifically, the carbon pad (see picture) which conducts electricity from a brass male quick connect terminal (red wire w/female connector) to the turntable came off while I was working on the machine (installing a new LED upgrade kit). Because this carbon pad must conduct electricity, I am seeking recommendations from anyone who is much more experienced with electronics on how to attach it back to the brass. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Their is a conductive glue made for reattaching the contacts for a rear window defogger to the glass. Pretty sure Permatex makes it, probably some other brands out there too. Might work.
What @bigdog said either glue or tape rear window defogger repair. there is either by loctite or permatex a silver electrical paste glue/bonding agent as well.I’ve used all 3 with success. could it be simply soldered back together ?
Would something like this work? https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...evrolet/c10-pickup-rwd?q=Permatex+21351&pos=0
had good luck puttin a windshield antenna button back on with that defroster tab glue last week customer car ,,im hooked fabricator john miss you dad
Look into Devcon adhesives. Industrial strength, very good stuff. They have a high quality, conductive (silver infused) epoxy. Mike
Follow-up: I utilized the permatex 21351 window defroster adhesive and was able to reattach the carbon button. Further, I checked the resistance finding none. The distributor tester is up and running again. Thanks for all the input and suggestions.
