I can't seem to find a banjo fitting for my holley 4 barrel that allows a run of the mill parts store 5/16 or 3/8 fuel line to just screw into the end of it. Just the simple end for a double flare line to hook to. I don't want a rubber line going to my carb from the fuel pump.
You don’t want a banjo, then. https://www.holley.com/products/fue...ents/fittings_fuel_lines_and_gauges/fittings/ Lots of other options, probably you want one of the flare fittings. Threaded would be difficult to install. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Assuming you saw this in your search, barb fitting should screw out then replace with brass pipe to inverted flare adapter. Reviews on Summit weren't good though. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1527
Different carb, but on Edelbrock I have, it used a smooth fitting with a barb on end for hose. I cut the barb off(right at its edge) then used compression type steel line to run to fuel pump. Because the Edelbrock points straight out, I used a 90 degree compression fitting to point the line to the front and to pump. Something like this one, as I used stainless hard line.
Banjo to inverted flair. Maybe some of this might work (or at least the banjo part). https://www.carbjunkys.com/Fuel-Banjo-Fitting-Adaptor-Quadrajet-Conversion-p/90-151.htm
that sure looks like what I'm after!! Why is this such a hard to find item, it seems like most people would like this setup??
That says its a 1"-20 carb thread , single feed holley is 9/16"-24 IIRC.... I'll get out to the garage later , I might have something that will work
Looks to me like a rather strange way to do carb plumbing. Post a picture of what you're doing, so I can understand why you'd want such a thing? Maybe to save making a 90 degree bend in a piece of tubing?
The 1” is the big adapter piece that goes into the carb, the banjo bolt is smaller. But even if that doesn’t work you might be able to use the banjo itself with a Holley banjo bolt.
straight fitting for 5/16 line https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-26-71 they also have a 3/8" size. I wonder what thread the carbjunky banjo bolt is...it doesn't say
Thanks Squirrel, I should be able to make that work. Just trying to make it as tidy as possible. That will be a tight bend to make look good.
I've also had to have a fitting like that, due to using a drop down air filter, on a low hood car. I used rubber, but the IFF adapter to banjo is a much better idea!
