    Greetings

A while back I posted to a shift knob thread about the shift handle that I made from a vintage Stanley electric drill.

I was happy with the way it came out but dismayed because I wanted to hook up the trigger to my horn somehow. I didn’t want any wires showing that would look, well, funky. I was resigned to letting a perfectly good trigger go to waste when there it was! A suggestion by a fellow H.A.M.B.ER with a link to trigger happiness.

He suggested I try a key fob remote and receiver to make it work. I ordered the unit straight away and waited.

It was a tight fit to get the transmitter into the handle. I had to hog out a bit of material so the trigger mechanism would clear.

I was concerned with the signal not being able to get through the aluminum but it works fine.I mounted the receiver up under the cowl. I’m not one to use the horn often, at least I wasn’t ‘till now.

The only problem now is that it’s a one note horn so I need to get a new horn befitting my new trigger happy mode!

    Be well

Looks dang cool, I’d have to remove the “Stanley” though, but it is very pleasing to the eyes!

If his name isn't already Stanley, he should have it changed and he would have a real personalized shifty, hornblower thingamabob;)
