Art & Inspiration Are you driving your hot rod or custom to Holiday & new years party's

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Dec 23, 2020.

  1. We plan on visiting my sister on Christmas and loading up the wagon with a table she purchased at a flee market last year when she was visiting us.

If your planning a road trip or just a visit to a friends post a photo of the hot rod or custom you will be driving. HRP

  2. 5" to 9" of snow predicted for this evening, into tomorrow morning. Then, 8 above for thurs. My model A doesnt appreciate that kind of situation. So, in the garage it stays.

  3. No. Can't drink and drive.

  5. Not sure what we are doing yet as far as Christmas, but will be driving these whatever it is. Took this pic last night when I had to go find my truck that my son was driving so I could get something out of the glove box. :D I have a buddy that owns a Napa that should be doing his yearly New Year's eve open house and we may take three vehicles including the avatar if so, since I now have myself and two 16 year old boys that think they need to drive too... Although, I need to verify that he is having the open house considering our new and different rules in today's world.

At the best this year's progress isn't worth pushing out of the garage for a photo.
    2020 has been a bitch!

  7. Nevermind...no open house at our local hot rod Napa. This year is nuts. Looks like the only driving of old cars will be for errands or to work.

Kinda-sorta...........Car buddies with wives delivered presents and complete Holiday meals to three needy families today. Ten kids across the three families, ranging from 1 thru 16. Lots of smiles..........

  13. Hey, good on you and your buddies! In today's world there are a lot of people who are suddenly needy. I can't wait for 2020 to be over, and I hope 2021 brings better days for all. Thanks for your generosity towards those who are less fortunate.

Sunday I went to our Christmas event,it's each year. The Jr Orange Bowl Parade ,this year was a bit def. do too China 19. Norm all the local schools with marching bands an dance groups ect. are in it. But only wheeled foats an cars this year. We did go more miles around a lot of homes,so they could watch from there front yards an a round the golf greens. If ya know my hot rod, you'll spot it in a few places.

I was planning on it, but my brake master decided it no longer has to hold fluid so that scuppered any plans until the new year.

I drove my '51 Shoebox around on Tuesday wishing a few friends a merry Christmas and took the '41 Chevy into town today for some last minute grocery shopping. Thus ends my holiday season.

  25. We got back home around 10:30 we saw a lot of traffic and saw some snow but we made it home safe & sound.

When we left this morning it was 56 degrees and it's 31 now, I am happy I put a heater in the wagon. HRP

  28. Woke up to 7 inches of the white stuff this morning, so the hot rods will stay tucked away in The Hot Rod Grille garage.
