Just picked these up for the Edsel wagon and I'm on the fence about having the white wall out. What do all think? I'll be using a pair of E-T Sprints with cast centers and polished lip.
I'm not a fan of exposed whitewalls on most cars. Some cars can pull it off, and others not so much. I like the black side out picture you posted better.
Another white car owner here with M/T piecrusts. Too much white spoils the look, in my eye. Blackwalls make yours look like a bruiser, that's what I'll vote for!
I don't like mixed white /black walls. So if you don't have whites for the front you have to go black.
IMO, they both look good, but I prefer the blackwalls. Might feel differently if the car was in paint. Badass wagon!
I agree with all of you on this one. Some cars look great with them like Moriarity's custom while the Edsel does not pull it off very well. It just doesn't look as good as the old black and white photos I see here on HAMB. Thanks for the input.
I think it depends on your endpoint. If your trying to make the wagon look like a an old race car then I think blackwall on steelies is the way to go. If your trying to make it look like an old street cruiser then whitewall on chrome reverse would look good.
Black wall out from Diamond Back, with all the side wall markings taken off... They look fantastic.. I'm thinking Diamond Back really checks out the tire before doing all this work he doesn't want it coming back or getting bad press over it..
Cragers or simular & black walls.....i think white walls and Lancers would look the best.... .02 cents / non sense. There is a guy In Port Clinto Ohio with a twin Ed, haven't seen it lately though...neat cars!
I like the look of both. I would have two wheel and tire combos for the car. Change them out to suit your mood. Wheel and tire combos can really change the attitude of your ride. IMO
