Thanks Bleach. Perhaps the number one complaint was too hot in the cockpit. That was remedied in 1956 with the addition of side vent doors. Probably easiest way to tell 55 from 56. Another big complaint NOT remedied was gas consumption! "It will pass anything on the highway but a gas station" was often heard. My parents had a 57 sedan with the y-block 312 cubic inch when we lived in Las Vegas. My Father took it to a mechanic in Los Angeles who supposedly could make an improvement in gas mileage. Minimal improvement so the Ford got traded in on a 1957 Chrysler New Yorker with a 392. Better mileage obtained ! 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
