Are the Ford and VW/Porshe wide five wheels the same bolt pattern?

    Sure looks the same.

    Thanks

Nope, had both in the shed at once, they don't look so close when side by side, the Aussie FJ holden pattern is different too.

  3. Nope... the Ford pattern is much larger.

    VW - 5 x 205mm (approx 5 x 8")

    Wide Ford - 5 x 10.25"

Ford bolt patteren from '37 to '39. Blots were at the outer edge of the brake drum.

I had a set of them on the original 36 Ford that I started with. I wouldn't be surprised if they were on 35s as well.

They were not on '35s. For a test, you can put your head through a Wide-Five. If you try that with a VW you will hurt yourself. Wayno

very close but not quiet ,, I have both tried to put some nice wide vw wheels on my ford 100e based modified ,,,the wheels would go on but the nuts wouldnt centre in taper,,,,
i'm sure people have run this combo before as it is that close,, but not close enough for me to sleep at night
