So I’ve poked in from time to time, but don’t think I’ve ever introduced myself. I’m Matt from Kansas. I recently acquired a 1947 Dodge Sedan with 54k on the clock. I’m the second owner and and I’m hoping to make something cool out of it. Looking forward to picking the H.A.M.B brains collectively and do this car some justice. Thanks again for having me!

Hi & welcome. Looks like a good one for a bit of a project. I am near the end of work on my 50 Plymouth Deluxe which should have same engine & running gear as your Dodge. Mine is a pleasure to drive and gets down the road quite well at 60+ MPH. The engine shown in my avatar here is in my 46 Chevy Coupe.
I am including some links where I found lots of replacement parts for my Plymouth and they have them for your Dodge.

    www.kanter.com
I have more if you need parts not available above.
    Good luck, Jimmie
