just be reading Hop Up special No5 and there is an article about a guy scratch building a speedster but I don't understand part of it and I quote "Friend Mike Bowling donated a heavily heated plus bent Model T rear spring that negates having any real suspension but being at Dead X meant better take off and no wheel hop" unquote.
What is Dead X tried googling it but all I get is not found. I am really curious about this can anyone fill me in on this please.

I was thinking that it meant "dead nuts" as in "exactly on". Exactly on what? I don't know.

Up here, it was ''dead ax'', as in dead axle, meaning no travel.
