A friend wants to put a 60's of 70's automatic drivetrain in his 1932 Buick. What would be the easiest?? right now he's looking at both Chevy 350 and Caddy 429

There is way more stuff available for the Chevy. Makes sourcing parts way easier.

What's in the car now ? In a traditional sense, it should have a 60s nailhead. However, availability may influence reality. A buddy and I just swapped a smogger 455 Buick that guzzled fuel and had no power, out of his '53 hardtop for an injected Chev. For drivability, the SBC is the hands down choice. The Caddilac would be cool, but stuff is hard to come by and ex$pen$ive. Is your buddy running a hood on the car? Send pictures.
