Here's something that I'm doing when I picked up my car cuz' mine only drove 30,000 original. Originally, when my crankshaft wasn't spinning. I was going to run a 401 nailhead. But now that my str8 is doing well, I'm getting into this $hit! Anyone have some done up Str8 8's they wanna post? Is anyone running headers on these? What are you using on this nostalgic piece of equipment? D

  9. Not trying to derail anything here, but ME & a buddy/schoolmate of mine dropped a straight 8 Buick crankshaft,,it had the flywheel on it too.
Using the winch,we lifted it out of the hot tank,,swung it over & the cable broke.
The flywheel took out some concrete & scared us half crazy. It didn't hurt the crank, but I'll never forget it.
Wish I could see the car the crankshaft is in these days.
This was in '72,,,high school freshman.
    carry on
