Clicking electric fuel pump?

    Can't remember the brand of pump that clicked like crazy until the pressure came up? Can anyone refresh my memory?

    Those old Walbro pumps were like that. I liked them.

  6. Hung mine in an aftermarket exhaust hanger. Never hear the bugger.

    All the cheap ones. You have to pay extra to get a motor, instead of a solenoid.

    I think all of these ones (the cheap universal pumps you can get at oreilly) are clickers.

    That depends on the car....how much HP? what intended use? etc.
     
  12. I have used Carter electric fuel pumps for over 30 years . Had no failures !

    I like the Carter pumps. They're fairly quiet, especially when mounted on rubber cushion mounts. The Carter pumps are available in different pressure ratings to match up to different engine applications also.
