Since it’s a special day in history and need for remembrance. What ride did you have and were you ready to drive or dig deeper into the build after 9-11 We all will remember where we were and what transpired no doubt. Personally I just bought a ot f250 3 days before. On hot rod it was a hulk with thoughts on build What’s was yours. God bless all

  2. I had a 31 Victoria for a number of years at that time. After the Tuesday events the President advised us to try to continue on with our lives.
On Friday morning we headed to the weekend event in Kalamazoo. On Saturday evening the hotel where we stayed had a candlelight vigil to remember the week and those lost.

  7. Cad powered A roadster and Cad powered '40; same ones I have now. Except the roadster was almost on the road and the '40 was 19 years away from it... Now I'm driving the 40 and the A is buried in the back of the garage.

I was at my B job. Operating a Cat D3. Finish grading around a new house. One of our Drivers bringing me Gravel for driveway. Backs in , and shuts Truck off , not routine . Notified me of the situation. He grew up right outside the big Apple. Towers still on Fire . Basically said to me with tears in his eyes . “ A lot of FireFighters are going to die today”. I left , went to my A job Firehouse and watched with the duty guys .

Ot Chevy truck semi done. Wife taught children of a lot of women and men that worked at the Pentagon . Some parents of course didn’t make it . They had to hold back information from the kids in all grades until parents could be notified to come get them . Students knew something was not right . She heard the plane overhead and the following noise. CIA used track field for helicopter landing .

    Both of mine were off topic.... A '91 5.0L LX and a '96 F-150.....

  21. The same '30 Model A Coupe, '34 Ford Coupe and '70 Vette that I have today. Didn't add the '40 Woodie until a couple of yeas ago. Plan to keep all four for the rest of my days. Daily driver was a '96 F-150 that has been replaced with a new F-150 twice since 2001.

I remember that day like it was yesterday: I was sick as a dog that day and couldn´t got to work nor to my grandma´s b-day party. I drove my 64 Impala to the doctor´s that morning, after that I went to my shop to cancel all appointments for the day. Then I went home, parked the 64 Impala next to my 62 Impala( sold the 64 later that year but still have the 62) and made myself a big cup of hot tea, dropped dead on my couch and fell asleep being tired from the fever. We are 6 hrs adhead of eastern US time so I must have been waking up early afternoon when I opened an eye I thought I was having a nightmare seeing one burning WTC tower on the news. Still gives me shivers to this day. I will never forget this. God bless all victims.
My grandma turned 98 yesterday and we were acutally talking about 9/11/ 2001. She still knew every detail . A day hat changed the world.

It was my senior year of college. I had never been to NYC, or ever flew in a plane at that point. Ironically, some months later, I was a finalist for a school competition, and had to go to Manhattan for the banquet. We were in a tiny plane that made a sharp turn around the tip of the island, as it was still a no fly zone to go over the city at that time.

    Oh, I had a 62 Mercury Comet S-22.

I had a 64 Chevy II , big small block 4 spd ran very low 12s. I was home that day recovering from knee surgery. I woke up hobbled into the living room and flipped on the TV....I couldn't believe what I was seeing . I remember tears running down my face as I was watching. That afternoon I remember picking my daughter up from Junior High in my 75 crew cab dually telling her this is a day we will never forget:(
