Technical Supercharged 350 vacuum line connecting carburetor timed spark directly to full manifold vacuum?

So I never thought to ask anyone about this till today.. when I first set the supercharger onto this 350 for whatever reason I connected this carburetor port to full manifold vacuum using the vacuum line in both pictures? the engine runs fine always starts right up. Should I just leave it alone? Or is this a no no?

 

I would plug that vacuum port. You could hook a vacuum / boost gauge to the manifold port. Unless that is a boost reference carburetor then leave as is.

 

Question is, was the power valve vaccuum port boost referenced, and that was the method used?

If it wasn't then that could give you a problem.

The nipple on the carb main body is in the spot often used to add the boost reference modification.

 

Who wired the car? Spend big cash on a blower and two cents on wiring?

 

I wired the Jeep up for $40 and it’s on a fuse block.

 

I think your right I’m definitely just going to leave it alone.
