Just picked up this Delray a few weeks ago, same color combo as yours.
Long hibernation, last on the street in '91. Zero rust, floor pans and trunk look new. 265/PG, 74,XXX miles on the speedo. Interior is nice but the front seat will need a recover. Paint is toast and stained by some tree fruit but rubbing it out now and will have to live with it for a while, chrome is so far cleaning up nicely, driver quality. All wheels still have remnants of the original factory pin stripe, spare is almost perfect, its on the driver front.
Been wanting a '55 post since I was a kid and went through the windshield of my uncle's in '61.

What a sweet heart. Been looking for this same condition one for years and always see them after someone else found it first. Good luck and enjoy.

Congratulations on finding your Delray. It looks very straight and complete. A very basic car that is fun to work on and update as needed. Have fun!!!

  6. Always liked the Delray interior.

My fathers. Picture taken in 1968. He sold it before he went into the Air Force in 1969. Wonder if it’s still around 4A1F1183-1BB0-4565-B687-E3DA88959C32.jpeg

  18. I changed up the grill in my 55. I have always loved it when I've seen this done and figured it was about time. Such a cool modification that cost zero dollars and only took about 90 minutes.

The hazguy, nice 57 but I might be bias! ! Lol[IMG]
Mine’s an original Jr stocker. Bought new at 3 Way Chevrolet in bakersfield by a Chevrolet employee Orlie Kuder (original driver of the project x 57) taken from the dealership to Famoso drag strip on the way home for a baseline. Ran from 58 to 71. Best run was in the high 13’s, beat Landy in a street race in 62, San Fernando record holder in 63. Was hoping to run it at the Tri5 nationals in Bakersfield this year but sadly it was cancelled. Anyways, just a quick over view of the car’s History.

I think the gassers are going to the gasser thread and the jr stockers to their thread. This has been a nice catch all for everything else for us tri5 guys!!!!
