My Dad built a SCCA sports car racer, out of a Corsley ,the class was called H-mod,he used a Jabro F-glass body.
I helped a little an learned a lot on that,it was running by 1957. One thing I learned from helping on that sportscar, was Dad super hated getting his hands dirty at all,so all cleaning of dirty parts was my job. Dad didn't help on my rod,but did let me work in the back yard on my pile of parts. I'm next to Dad's home made sports car at a hotrod n custom show about 57 or 8. This was in Clearwater Fl. put on by Block Busters CC

Started with a pretty solid and complete car, Barillaro Speed turned it into this. ( ) (2).jpg 20200801_120447 (2).jpg

Started as a standard 4Dr sedan with a metal roof, kept the cowl and lower rear quarters added convertible sedan door valences, doors and door posts and rear quarter tops indexed on the trim holes, rounded the deck lid corner tops and "Boom" had a real tub. A lot of work but if you gota have you gota do it.

  12. Guy at work said he had a '34 3w coupe body on his uncles farm out west of Minot, ND. Told me his cousin gave it to him back in the '70s and that I could have it since he was never going to be able do anything with it and he thought I might. Sadly, it wasn't a '34; but I've grown to accept it.

I bought this old 47 Ford coupe off a local guy on craigslist, who bought it from his friend, who bought it from his friend etc...Not too much left of the original car, not that there was that much to begin with. It came with a Merc frame which was too long. The floors were mostly rotted so I ended up going to Detroit and picked up a 41 sedan and frame. It doesn't look too much different than when I got it three years ago, but I managed to wrestle a 351w with a C4 in place. I have a Granada rear end and parallels in place also did the top swap. I'd say I wasn't doing to bad considering. hot rod1.jpeg hot rod2.jpeg hot rod3.jpeg
